Tonight we went with kids to see Happy Feet 2. I still remember the part 1, when Elie, at that time really small kid, just spent all the movie standing up, dancing and taping the happy feet for the big happiness of his movie neighbors.
Tonight, when we came into the movie theater, I was not sure we are in the right place. The average age of kids was around 6 and with our 3 teenagers (common, Elie is 10…) we feel little awkward. In the half empty movie I sit probably on the only seats where we were receiving the hits of happy feet from behind all the movie. I reflected on how time fly, and this should be probably karma for Elie s 2 hours dancing few years back. Also, what we resiste, persiste…and this was definitely the test of my patience and yogi equanimity.
Too my biggest surprised The happy Feet 2 was nearly from the begining the spiritual quest of finding our own way, our purpose in the life, our own “being special”. It was the story of differences, and how we can put them in service of bigger good. Last but not least, it was also the movie about how we can safe the world: let s forgot who is penguin and who is sea lion, who can fly and who can t, not differencies between effort of sea mammoth or the little shrimp…all together we can mak it. The sequence coming from the huge Universe back to little mini shrimp was just breath taking.
As momn, I apreciate also few little mom’s advices:
“It is not dangerouse, just challenging” …oh yes!
“There is not problem, just opportunity!” …good Churchill’s one!
” You don t have to fly to be awesome”…and this is SO true!
I don t regret one minute of the movie…and I recommend it just o all age categories. Inspiring one!
