If my consistency of sending the Newsletter would be the same as my yoga practice, you would have already hit the button “Unsubscribe” for spamming your mailbox long ago.
Last time I wrote you was one year ago! And I have to say, 2015 will be written in my memory as a year of “coming hOMe”.
Yes, we moved back to Paris after 23 years abroad. Most precisely to Maisons Laffitte, the parisien suburb with an international school Ermitage for Elie and a lot of horses. We spent the first half of the year trying to find the place of our dreams and our budget (often cornelian choice) then second half year to get adapted to living in France again. While two of our kids left already home (I know, very long nomads!), we welcomed a new family member: baby dog Luna. We are madly in love with her and she is becoming my new guru.
The recent events of terrorist attack in Paris reminded us sadly of the similar tragic event in Mumbai and I am seeing with sadness the rise of nationalism and extreme right wings all across Europe. In the time of economical crisis and security issues the society tends to search the scapegoats, point the fingers on outsiders, close itself to the national “secure” values and live in the Fear which separates us. One of the biggest lessons I learned trough Yoga is that Love unites and if we are different in our personalities, in those coats we are all wearing of our unique expression in this life, we are all same in our humanity, in our Self, in our souls of living beings.
I hope for all of us that in the time of the Christmas, the time of Light of Love over the Darkness of Ignorance, we can all find at least for while the Love in our hearts for our neighbours, for this planet and for ourselves which we tend to forgot so often.
Wishing you peaceful and joyful end of this year
Namaste
